# Triangle home builders associations for trades

Construction networking

Choose the Triangle association that serves your work area. Compare named local programs, then ask the organizer to confirm your eligibility and the current terms.

You want builder relationships in the Triangle. Start with the organization serving the counties where you work, then check the local program’s audience and access rules. Ask its staff to confirm the route before paying dues or booking an event.

Use [what an HBA does](/guides/home-builders-association/) for membership concepts and participation costs. Use [the NC HBA guide](/guides/nc-home-builders-associations/) for the statewide county-finder process and state role.

## Match a Triangle home builders association to your counties

[NCHBA’s local association finder](https://www.nchba.org/membership/find-your-local-association/) lists the organizations below. These are association routes to investigate. They do not define Cercha’s service boundary or guarantee event access.

| Work area to investigate | Named organization | Next check |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Raleigh and Wake County | HBA of Raleigh-Wake County | Current programs and guest rules |
| Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties | HBA of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties | Membership route and relevant local program |
| Johnston County | Johnston County Building Industry Association | Office listed by the county finder |
| Franklin County | Franklin County Home Builders Association | Office listed by the county finder |
| Person County | Roxboro Person County Home Builders Association | Office listed by the county finder |

If you work across these areas, tell staff which counties and project types you serve. Ask how participation across local organizations works. Use the finder’s current links instead of copied contact details.

## Compare the named local programs

Use the organizer pages below to investigate the format. Confirm the next edition, dates, location, registration, and business eligibility before committing.

| Organization and source | What the page describes | Question to ask |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [Raleigh-Wake events](https://hbawake.com/Events) | Networking and other member event formats | Which upcoming gathering includes residential builders and trades, and can guests attend? |
| [Raleigh-Wake participation](https://hbawake.com/Get-Involved) | General membership events, committees, councils, and volunteer routes | Which role needs my experience, and what time commitment does it require? |
| [Durham, Orange, and Chatham calendar](https://members.hbadoc.com/events) | Education, association meetings, and other local programs | Is this a class, member meeting, or opportunity for business introductions? |
| [Builder Expo](https://www.hbadoc.com/builder-expo/) | An annual builder and associate networking format | When is the next edition, and which companies can reserve tables or attend? |
| [Professional Remodelers Council](https://www.hbadoc.com/professionalremodelerscouncil/) | A program focused on remodeling professionals | Which gathering fits my residential remodeling scope, and what access is available? |

The Builder Expo page describes a past edition. Use it to understand the format and ask about the next event. Keep a past registration offer out of your current budget.

## Confirm the local membership and attendance terms

The [Durham, Orange, and Chatham membership page](https://www.hbadoc.com/membership-roi/) lists associate dues at $675 per year, checked October 14, 2026. It says membership belongs to the individual and renews on the joining anniversary. Confirm the current terms before applying.

Ask Raleigh-Wake and any other listed organization for its own current terms. Do not copy one association’s dues or eligibility to another. Ask these local questions:

- Does my subcontracting or supply business fit this category?
- Which named person holds the membership?
- What arrangement covers my foreman, rep, or another employee?
- Can a prospective member attend this particular program?
- Which registration, council, or sponsorship charges are separate?
- What happens when my work area crosses association territories?

Keep each answer with its source and date. Use the [event-selection worksheet](/guides/construction-networking-events/) for travel, timing, ticket, and cancellation checks.

## Make the local introduction useful

Prepare a scope and service-area description that matches the audience you confirmed. For a supplier conversation, use the [building materials sales rep guide](/guides/building-materials-sales-rep/) to identify the buying role. Get permission before naming a mutual contact.

Use [construction networking](/guides/construction-networking/) for the broader relationship process. Use [builder-event follow-up](/guides/follow-up-after-a-builder-event/) for the message after you meet. A local introduction still needs the other business’s qualification, purchasing, and agreement process.

## Where Cercha fits

Cercha launches in the Research Triangle first. Profiles, portfolios, builder and sub endorsements, and Messages help you show work and continue a professional conversation. Confirm current scope, credentials, and capacity directly with the other business.
