## Why we call it Cercha

> Armadura que sostiene la cubierta de un edificio.

[Real Academia Española, cercha, sense 2](<https://dle.rae.es/cercha>): The framework that holds up a building’s roof.

Roof truss with top chord, webs, and bottom chord labeled: Top chord, Webs, Bottom chord.

Cercha is Spanish for truss. The name reflects the people whose different work comes together in a house: builders, trades, crews, and suppliers.
